This right here? This is canon. I plan to drop the link to this piece every time someone who knows 1% of the story calls Biz "the clown prince of hip-hop". I'm grateful to have been alive and around at a time when you could ask him about damn near any break & get an education. He was so much more than how the media represented him. I hope that his true legacy will flourish. Even in passing, the Biz remains unbeaten. Bless up.

Great read Elliott! I was born in ‘86 so I had to do my homework, and go back in discover Biz and the impact he had. His energy was vibrant and he was truly one of a kind. A true pioneer, and his contributions to the game are undeniable. He will be truly missed. Long Live Biz Markie 🙏🕊

This an excellent article on the career & life of one ours, Mr. Diabolical, Biz Markie. "Make The Music With Ya Mouth Biz" is one of my earliest memories of Hip-Hop. The song has remained as infectious as it was back then...I hated seeing those "Just A Friend Rapper passes" headlines. I'm glad you pointed that b.s. out. It's our job to tell our story of our people the right way. Protecting the culture. Thanks for this one, YN. Rest Easy, Biz🙏🏿🏆
